Rotted T1-11 Replacement

This 12x12 shed had rotted T1-11 siding on the bottom half. The cause, of course, was moisture. Rain had been running off the roof, forming puddles, and splashing on the T1-11. I cut out the bottom half of the siding and replaced it with new T1-11.

TIP: T1-11 siding is made of wood. Consequently, it needs to be protected from the elements. The best way to do that is to use exterior grade paint. If you see cracks starting to form in your T1-11, that’s an indicator it’s time to repaint. Otherwise, water will seep through the cracks and cause rot, just like it happened to this shed.
